The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics that emerge from the interior space of Ando Tadao, the representative architect who embodies the modern succession of architecture with Japanese identity, using a uniform pattern of modernity in modern times. Analyzing critical regionalism and Ando Tadao through literature review, we will use the method of finding connection points and producing results through some examples. The match points of the analysis were illustrated through the literature study, and the most representative forms were selected and tabulated. The relationship between Ando Tadao and critical regionalism derived through this study is first, the geometrical expression method is the way Ando dadao interprets locality differently. Second, the natural introduction seen in the middle, light and water is a combination of nature and culture. Third, exposed concrete walls are unique symbolic objects and are the elements that enable another attempt to be made. Fourth, concrete is an expression in a new earthly field of view. In other words, the factors that Tadao Ando had were closely related to critical regionalism. |
