19세기 근대건축에서부터 현실적 건축을 실현하는 방법으로 건축의?본질을 연구하고자 하였다. 현대 건축과 관련된 인간의 삶은 기술발전에 의한 생활과 환경의 많은 변화에도 불구하고 획일화된 모습으로 점차 변해가고 있다. 최근 이러한 현대 건축과 관련되어 건축공간을 계획하는 방법으로서 공간을 구성하는 새로운 물질 및 재료에 따른 이용자들의 감각에 대한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 발스 욕장(The Therme Vals)은 스위스 그라우뷘덴 주, 서셀바 지역 (Surselva, the Graubunden Canton in Switzerland)에 위치하고, 페터 줌토어(Peter Zumthor) 건축가에 의해, 인구 1,000여 명에 달하는 발스(vals) 마을 중심에 설계되었다. 이 건축에서 빛, 물질 및 이용자의 감각에 의한 공간이 가장 큰 특징이다. 페터 줌토어는 공간속에 구성된 물질 및 이용자의 감각에 대하여 긍정적인 평가를 받고 있고, 그의 건축적 특성을 설명하기 위해서는 건축물에 사용된 재료의 분석과 이용자의 감각에 대한 바른 이해가 이루어져야 한다. 그래서 그의 작품을 통한 이용자들이 느끼는 감각의 의미를 고찰하였고 빛, 물질 및 감각에 대한 합리적인 해석과 건축물에 구성된 공간과의 연계성을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 발스 욕장의 분석을 통하여 건축적인 특징을 알아보고 설계 과정에서 나타난 디자인 의도와 건축특성을 분석하여 빛, 물질 및 이용자의 감각과 연계된 공간적 의미를 분석하여 그의 건축물은 지역의 장소성을 고려하지 않고는 존재할 수 없고, 디자인 개념은 이용자의 감각을 고려한 재료의 울림과 더불어 인간 존중에 있음을 알아본다. |

It was intended to study the nature of architecture from the 19th century modern architecture. Human life related to modern architecture is
gradually changing into a uniform form despite many changes in life and environment caused by technological development. Recently, a
study has been conducted on the senses of users according to new materials that make up space as a way to plan architectural spaces related
to such modern architecture. The Therme Vals is located in Surselva, the Gravunden Canton in Switzerland, and is designed by Peter
Zumthor architects in the center of the town of Vals, which has a population of more than 1,000. In this architecture, space by light, matter,
and user's senses is the biggest feature. Peter Zumthor is positively evaluated for the material and user's sense of space, and in order to
explain his architectural characteristics, analysis of materials used in buildings and a good understanding of users' senses must be made.
Therefore, the meaning of the sensations felt by the users through his work was considered, and the rational interpretation of light, matter,
and sensation and the connection with the space constructed in the building were analyzed. The purpose of this study is to recognize
architectural features through analysis of the Therme Vals, analyze design intentions and architectural characteristics in the design process, and
analyze spatial meanings linked to the senses of light, materials, and users, to see that his architecture cannot exist without considering the
location of the area, and that the design concept is in human respect as well as the sound of materials considering users' senses. |
