The experience and sharing economy and the development of IT technology have made lifestyles increasingly complex, at the same time, the architectural space that carries the complex lifestyle has also been changed since 2010. The research summaries the significance of space complexity by sorting out the definition of lifestyle, the reasons for changing and its categories, with exploring the theories of space complexation. 40 cafeteria spaces in Shanghai were selected as research cases and classified into three types using typology methods, observed users’ activities and calculated the ratio of the number of people in compound activities and the ratio of the space area of compound activities to achieve the purpose of researching composites’ significance of cafeteria spaces in Shanghai. Subsequently, with the understanding of composite, the meaning of the above research results is analyzed in depth from the two perspectives of the relationship between the whole and the part, among activities, functions and spaces. Finally, the space compositeization of the cafeteria space is grasped from the perspective of the meaning of space compositeization and the relationship between lifestyle and space compositeization, as well as the intelligibility and functionality of space compositeization are obtained. |
