본 연구는 열린 장소로서의 공공도서관의 개방성을 판단하기 위한 기초자료를 마련하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 오늘날 공공도서관은 다양한 매체를 통해 장소적 한계를 극복함으로써 단순히 지식을 습득하기 위한 공간이 아닌 사람들을 모으고 연결하는 사회적 기능을 위한 복합공간이 되었다. 공공도서관의 공간구성이 복잡해지고 이용자의 중심의 공간이 되면서, 열람 방법이 다양해지고 이를 위한 다양한 열람공간이 등장하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 공공도서관의 프로그램이 다양해짐에 따라 이용자 중심의 공공도서관의 열람공간을 분석하고 객관적인 자료를 통해 열린 장소로서의 공공도서관을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 공공도서관 열람 공간의 개방 정도를 분석하기 위해, 본 연구는 연구 대상인 공공도서관의 자료요청과 전수조사를 통해 도면을 포함한 공간자료를 확보하였다. 공간분석지표를 통해 확보한 자료를 분석하여 전체 공공도서관의 역할과 역할을 살펴보고 공공도서관의 열람공간을 객관적으로 분석하기 위해 ‘공간위상도(J-Graph)’를 작성하여 공간적 깊이와 접근성을 분석한다. 마지막으로 공간분석으로 산출된 결과값을 연대순으로 살펴보면서 공공도서에서 제공하는 열람공간의 이용행태와 다른 내부 시설과의 관계를 분석하여 결론을 도출한다. |

This study aims to prepare basic data to judge the openness of the public libraries as open places according to their place meaning. Today,
as public libraries overcome their place limitations through various media, it has become a complex space for a social function that gathers
and connects people, not just a place to acquire knowledge. As the spatial composition of the public libraries become complex and space
focusing user, the reading methods are diversified, and various reading space for this are appearing. Therefore, as public libraries’ programs
become more diverse, this study analyzes the reading space of user-centred public libraries and aims to examine public libraries as open
places through objective data. To analyze the degree of openness of the reading space in public libraries, this study obtained spatial data
including drawings through the survey and data requests of the public libraries as subjects of the study. By analyzing the data obtained
through analysis indicators of spatial, this study examines the role and relationship of the entire public libraries’ space and analyzes the
spatial depth and spatial accessibility by drawing a ‘Justified-Graph’ to objectively analyze the reading space of public libraries. Lastly, this
study concludes by analyzing the user behavior of the reading space provided by the public libraries and the relationship with other internal
facilities by examining the results calculated by spatial analysis in chronological order. |
