최근 가상현실 시스템이 현대 사회의 여러 다양한 산업 분야에 급속히 침투하고 있으며 VR(Virtual Reality)기술을 활용하고 있는 분야가 점차 늘어나고 있다. 가상현실 시스템의 이용은 건축시공 및 건축 설계 분야에서도 예외는 아니며 해외 여러 유명 건축사무소에서는 적극적으로 건축 프로세스에 VR기술 도입을 시도하는 사례들이 늘어나고 있다. 최근 VR기술 발전 속도가 가속화됨에 따라 향후 건축 및 설계분야에서도 VR기술의 활용은 증가할 것이며 우리가 생각하는 시간보다도 더 빠른 시간 안에 클라이언트들뿐 아니라 건축설계 전반의 과정 안에서 유용한 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다. 그렇기 때문에 우리는 좀 더 세밀하게 건축분야에서 현재 사용되고 있는 BIM 설계프로세스와 함께 VR을 활용한 통합설계프로세스에 대해 이해할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 VR을 활용한 통합설계프로세스의 제안을 위해 기본설계프로세스와 BIM통합설계프로세스의 분석을 기반으로 VR통합설계프로세스의 성격과 각 단계별 특성을 파악하고 있으며 이를 통해 VR을 활용한 통합설계프로세스의 모델을 제시하고 있다. 최종적으로 제시하고 있는 BIM 통합설계프로세스를 기반으로 한 VR을 활용한 통합설계프로세스는 BIM통합설계프로세스보다 전체 설계프로세스의 시간과 노력을 단축시킬 것으로 예측되며 향후 가상현실 시스템을 적용한 디자인 및 건축 건설 분야에서 설계과정의 효율성을 증대시키고 설계의 방향성을 제시할 지표가 될 것으로 기대된다. 또한 디지털 트윈이나 증강현실을 포함한 다양한 실시간 업데이트 데이터 서비스를 통한 서비스 부분이 VR을 활용한 통합설계프로세스에 추가된다면 VR을 활용한 건축설계 분야는 새로운 개념의 통합설계 영역을 창조할 수 있는 무한한 가능성을 가질 것으로 예측된다. |

With the rising popularity of Virtual Reality (VR) technology across various industries, its application in architecture design has gained
significant traction. As technological advancements continue, the use of VR technology is expected to increase in the architecture design field,
and it is predicted to play a leading role shortly. Therefore, it is crucial to understand the integrated design process with the use of VR
technology that is used in conjunction with Building Information Modelling (BIM). This study offers a step-by-step approach to the integrated
design process based on an analysis of the basic architecture design process and integrated architecture design process with BIM.
Furthermore, a model for the integrated design process employing VR technology was presented. The final suggestion of the integrated design
process with the use of VR technology, which is based on the integrated architecture design process with BIM, is predicted to save time and
effort in the overall architecture design process. This process is anticipated to enhance the efficiency of architecture design while providing
valuable guidance for professionals in the field. Moreover, the integration of real-time update data services such as digital twin or Augmented
Reality (AR) within the integrated design process with VR technology creates new possibilities for architecture design. These advancements
have the potential to revolutionize the industry, offering dynamic opportunities for exploration and innovation. In conclusion, the fusion of
VR technology with BIM in the architecture design process promises substantial benefits and unveils novel prospects for the industry.
Understanding the integrated design process with the use of VR technology is crucial for architects and designers to remain competitive and
efficient in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape. |
