도시의 지속가능성을 실현하기 위해 입체도시개발 방안들이 고도화되고 공중공간을 중심으로 입체적 보행공간 개발도 더욱 가속화됨에 따라 관련 연구분야의 발전이 촉구되고 있다. 이에 따라 본 논문은 먼저 국내·외 선행연구 및 실무 프로젝트를 종합적으로 검토하여 공중공간에 개발된 입체적 보행공간의 유형을 공중가로, 공중보행로, 스카이브릿지로 구분하고 차별적 특성을 정리하였으며, 해당 시설의 설계 발전 양상을 입체적 보행공간 활성화에 중요한 연계성 측면에서 고찰하였다. 최근 완공된 세종 방축천 공중가로와 판교 알파돔 시티 공중 보행로를 연구 대상으로 선정하였으며, 선행연구를 통해 입체적 보행공간의 연계성 확보에 중요한 3가지 요소- 도시의 중심 구조, 주변 시설물, 인접 건물 및 도시 공간과의 관계성-를 도출하고 이를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 최근의 입체적 보행공간은 도시적 차원의 네트워크 구축과 주변 시설물 및 인접 건물 저층부와의 유기적 연결성을 강화하기 위해 다음과 같은 전략을 보편적으로 적용한 것으로 나타났다. 첫째, 교통 시설 및 생활 인프라가 가장 밀집되어 있는 도시의 중심부를 입지로 선정하였다. 둘째, 대상지와 배후 지역에 주거와 업무, 문화·쇼핑, 공원·녹지 시설들이 복합적으로 개발된 지역에 배치하였다. 셋째, 지하·지상층의 주요 보행동선 축에 공중공간(3층)으로 접근하는 수직연결시설을 건물 내·외부에 배치하였으며, 저층부에는 내부 에이트리움 공간과 외부 테라스 공간(2층)을 조성하고 주로 판매시설로 구성하였다. 또한 공중공간 연결층에 진출입구를 다양하게 만들어 건물 입면을 최대한 개방하였다. 본 연구는 공중공간에 개발된 입체적 보행공간에 관한 연구의 틀을 구축하였으며, 향후 입체적 보행공간 계획시 참고할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하였다는 데에 연구의 의의가 있다. |

In this study, we first explored and classified the types of multi-level pedestrian spaces in the sky as elevated walkways, connecting
passages, and sky-bridge by comprehensively reviewing previous studies and practical projects. Second, we analyzed their design features
related to connectivity, which are critical for their successful usage. As a research method, we selected Sejong City's elevated walkways and
Pangyo New Town's connecting passage as study cases. Then, we measured their connectivity in three aspects: an urban center, surrounding
facilities, and adjacent buildings and urban spaces, which we extracted through a literature review. As a result, we found that these recent
cases widely applied the following design strategies to improve permeability between a city, a neighborhood, and adjacent buildings. First,
their location is the city center, where the street network and infrastructure are most highly concentrated. Second, the land use of the study
sites is a mixed-use, combining residential, business, cultural, commercial, and park, and green facilities. Lastly, adjacent buildings have
vertical transportation approaching the multi-level pedestrian space on the main pedestrian circulation axis of the basement, as well as the
ground floors, both inside and outside. The lower floors of the buildings have large atriums and a terrace on the second floor, mainly
consisting of retail shops. In addition, the facades on the floor connected to the multi-level pedestrian space were opened up as much as
possible through many entrances. These findings contribute meaningful insights into planning and designing multi-level pedestrian spaces in
the sky, which have become important in creating a sustainable and compact city. |
