But in many cases of urban Gol-mok or alley space design in residential area urban planners' design interest go exclusively all the way, leaving architects as well as social planners behind.The Gol-mok space in urban residential area is perceived here as placemaking nodes as well as urban mosaic(miniature of urban society).-. The Gol-mok should be a place where macroscopic function as community street meets with function of microscopic Bakkat-madang or outside yard.-. In this case, the relations with Dam-jang or wall and the physical images with ground texture and its form are primary factors leading Gol-mok to a sense of `Our Neighborhood'.-. It is necessary to understand the Gol-mok space as a place and as well as a space of process where service and message, and overflowed life of residents come together.-. The Gol-mok is not a space which should be designed by urban or physical planners alone, but by socialists and architects as well.
